Laurinda Lawrence

A long-time New Viner and valued member of our community, Laurinda has recently taken up a position as Chaplain at Maryland Public School.

School chaplains provide support to students through one-on-one mentoring, small group sessions, or larger programs aimed at enhancing students’ general wellbeing, personal growth and welfare.

As chaplain, Laurinda is available for whatever situation arises – whether it be the ongoing support of a student’s holistic wellbeing, or as a trusted, caring and affirming presence to the broader school community in times of need or crisis. School chaplains seek to work with families by referring them to appropriate services if required.

Through Glocal, we contribute some of the funds required to support Laurinda in partnership with Generate Ministries and Maryland Public School.
